River Crescent puts Nottingham development on the map!

Nottingham’s River Crescent Development has gone from strength to strength in recent months with a series of high-profile industry award wins.

Following the recent accolades from the Daily Mail Awards for Best Architecture, Best Development and Best Apartment, River Crescent has gained further national recognition by winning the Your New Home/Daily Telegraph Award for Best Waterside Development.

River Crescent’s developers beat stiff competition from across the UK to win the award, with an independent panel of judges voting them top in their field. The judging panel included industry experts, property writers, designers and architects who awarded River Crescent the winning prize for it’s consideration of the waterside environment, in both its external and internal design.

River Crescent is the first phase of the Nottingham Waterside Regeneration Plan, which aims to develop the River Trent from Colwick Country Park to Trent Bridge. The new mixed use community has been carefully designed with the local environment in mind and the £50m River Crescent building showcases the latest environmental and renewable energy initiatives.

Accepting the award, John Rhodes, Development Director said: “Winning Best Waterside Development puts both River Crescent and the City of Nottingham on the map with architects and local residents alike. River Crescent is riding a wave of success right now by putting the environment and needs of local residents at the heart of its development.”

In addition to the state of the art energy efficiency controls, the site also offers residents a luxury lifestyle with amenities such as a Concierge service, private health club, Business suite, Riverside bar and restaurant and a 60ft swimming pool just to name a few.

The River Crescent development made the headlines earlier this year by selling a penthouse for £1million, but Directors are very quick to point out that not all of the apartments are this price adding “Most of the apartments are only £295,000 which would also include a south facing river view with balcony, around 1000 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and of course all of the amenities a £1m apartment would have.”

John Rhodes added: “Recent property sales at River Crescent shows that buyer confidence is growing and people are responding well to the kind of lifestyle this development offers. This is a fantastic time to invest in Nottingham as it embarks on an exciting programme of development to make it one of the country’s most prominent and vibrant cities.”
