GameCityNights Season 1, Episode 6 - Doctor Who: The Adventure Games

July 15th, 2010 - GameCity, the World's best-loved videogames festival, today announced the headline and supporting acts for its next monthly event, GameCityNights Season 1, Episode 6. The event will take place on Friday 23rd July at Antenna in Nottingham. The event is strictly 18+, so ID may be required. Entry is £3.

Fresh from an evening of Play-Doh based engineering antics with Keita Takahashi, GameCity considered a quiet evening, but instead decided to invite the Doctor Who: The Adventure Games team to headline the extravaganza.

Treating GameCityNights fans to a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the episodic Dr Who: Adventure Games series and the opportunity to quiz the team, a competition will feature with prizes so incredible they may cause the universe to implode, including tickets to the now sold out Dr Who Live tour.

Iain Simons said, "GameCityNights is continuing along a decidedly lunar cycle, and we're delighted to be welcoming Charles Cecil and the Dr Who: The Adventure Games team along to deliver a truly sci-fi edge. Most of all though, I'm very excited about not hosting it, as the gorgeous Mr Simon Byron will be taking charge of such formalities. I love him and his ways."

Beyond the headliner, GameCity is offering a night of time-traveling, mind-bending excitement, with all manner of sci-fi inspired games, craft events and competitions. As always, delicious food, cheap drinks and a friendly atmosphere make for the best evening possible.

Supporting the night will be several members of the RetroRemakes team, as well as students from the Nottingham Trent University games development course, with more talented and diverse support acts to follow.
