Dance agency thrilled about 'Creative Village'

A national dance agency based in Nottingham says it is thrilled to be involved in a "Creative Village" next to Sneinton Square.

Dance4, currently based in Hockley, has entered into an agreement with the city council for a lease on a 0.37 acre site which fronts Brook Street.

The land will be surplus when the replacement Victoria Leisure Centre is built.

Paul Russ, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Dance4, said: "Dance4 is thrilled to be embarking on the initial development stage of a new capital project, with the working title, Nottingham Creative Village (NCV)."

Funding for the current phase of development has been awarded by The Greater Nottingham Partnership and Arts Council England, East Midlands.
